3.Lushoto has been awarded a tender by a multinational company to stitch 7200 units of multifibre workwear.

The items are required within five weeks. He has a flexible sewing room but the cutting room can only manage 800 units per 8 hours

(a) Advise Lushoto on three ways to improve the cutting room output in order to service the tender within the agreed contract time.(6 marks)

(b) Establish five labour saving techniques that Lushoto can employ to speed up the cutting room output.(10 marks)

(c) Suggest two ways that Lushoto can use to reduce fusing during the cutting process.(2 marks)

(d) Determine the amount of time required to complete the cutting process if the daily output is 1200units.(2 marks)
