 Answer all questions in section A and TWO questions in section B

SECTION A (40 marks)
Answer ALL Questions

1. Explain the concept of salvation in Jainism [3 marks]

2. Explain the famous myth about the Island and the people of Japan from Shintoism
perspective. [4 marks]

3. There is a sharp debate among the Kabarak University Christian Union members
regarding Dalai Lama. Some claim he is a cult others view him as Moslem leader.
Clarify the matter from a biblical perspective. [5 marks]

4. “Bhagavad Gita, the Holy Scriptures of Sikhism support homosexuality.” A
Lesbian spokesperson claim in support of their practice. Discuss. [8 marks]

5. “In Hinduism there are no known gods, except Allah as their main god.” A
Christian concluded. Challenge the view. [10 marks]

6. “Christians and Jewish all believe without any dispute that Christ was the Messiah.
Support or challenge the statement.” [10 marks]

SECTION B (40 marks)
ANSWER TWO QUESTIONS

7. “Unlike Christianity which is a European religion, Shinto which is Japanese
religion and Judaism a Jewish religion, Islam is the only pure religion from Allah
given to Muhammed on the Holy month of Ramadan.” Refute [15 marks]

8. When Martin Kiverenge died, his relatives demanded for his body back to Uganda
for burial against the wishes of his German wife Mrs Zenglin Kiverange who
wanted to bury her husband in Germany. She can’t understand why her husband
who lived in German as a citizen for forty years can’t be buried in there. Explain
why Africans bring their dead back home. [15 marks]

9. A Krishna devotee claimed that Christianity and Hare Krishna Movement are the
same. The only difference is the names used for the same God. Challenge the
claim [15 marks]
