2. The cash price of a bicycle was sh. 7,000. Kyalo bought it on hire purchase terms. The amount he paid was 25% more than the cash price. He paid a deposit plus 12 monthly installments of sh. 600 each. How much deposit did he pay?

3. Kamau bought a bed on hire purchase terms. He paid a deposit of sh. 350 and five equal monthly installments of sh. 120. Njoroge paid sh. 750 for a similar bed. Find the difference between the amount of money paid by both?

4. A bicycle can be bought on hire purchase terms by paying a deposit of sh. 500 and five equal monthly installments of sh. 450. The cash price of the bicycle is sh. 2550. How much more would one pay more on hire purchase than paying cash?

5. The cash price of a machine is 20% less than the hire purchase price. The hire purchase terms require a deposit of sh. 2,600 and eight monthly installments of sh. 800. What is the cash price of the machine?

11. The hire purchase terms of a cupboard is deposit of sh. 4,400 and six monthly installments of sh. 900. The hire purchase price is 175% of the cost price while the cash price is 25% more than the cost price. What is the cash price of the cupboard?

12. The hire purchase price of a T.V set is 40% more than the cash price. The cash price is sh. 20000. Ochieng paid sh. 2100 as a monthly installment for 10 months. How much had he paid as deposit?
