SECTION A : BADMINTON
1. Explain ten different racket-shuttle drills and activities that can be effectively
used to introduce the game to a group of beginners. [ 10 marks]
2. a) Write play advice points to a beginning player who intends to improve
her/ his net game play. [ 5 marks]
b) Explain ways by which a player can successfully counter an opponent who
is good at net play. [ 5 marks]
SECTION B: SQUASH
3. Explain the use of the ‘T” as a strategic and tactic play area during match play.
[10 Marks]
4. a) Explain ways in which a player can perform specific racket- ball court
warm up while a waiting for an opponent who is going to be about 10
minutes late. [ 5 marks]
b) Distinguish between (i) a ‘stroke’ and ‘let’ play, (ii) 9 point and 15 scoring
systems. [ 5 marks]
