Android earlier released its latest version of operating system called JERRY BEAN!! This lands us to os 4.1
Other older versions are:
Version 1.5 (cupcake)
Version 1.6 (donut)
Version 2.0/2.1(eclair)
Version 2.2 (froyo) frozen yogurt
Version 2.3 (gingerbread)
Version 2.4(gingerbread)
Version 3.0/3.1/3.2 (honeycomb)
Version 4.0 (ice cream sandwich)
Version 4.1 (jerry bean )the latest!
This operating system offers functionality like that of ios or better.
Features include:

-better way of updating apps from the store. If your apps is about 75 mb and the developer have an update, then you do not need to download the whole 75 mb. The update can be 20 mb give or take some few mbs. This spares you some battery juice, precious time and data bundles.
-icons placed on the home page can be resized to fit more or enlarge them as you wish. This feature there can allow you to put many or less shortcut icons.
-if you drag and drop icons on the homepage the smartphone will automatically create space for it. Other apps will squeeze and create space.
- new search voice for \Google. It resembles apples siri but more stronger and better. Its now better and easier to perform a search!
- new form of getting notified. This includes even photos!! Imagine of that picture on facebook about your girl appearing on a notification that they pocked you? Cool isn't it? This includes even multiple actions. This way you get a more beautiful complex notification tool bar. Bingo!!
Other features included in the os are online os upgrade, better theme widgets and app performance. Let's get our android devices upgraded pals.. Mine is blackberry and feel like throwing it across a road..I will buy android..
