Biotic and Abiotic Structure of an Ecosystem

An ecosystem is an elaborate set of relationships among the living things, environments, and homes. In broader meaning ecosystem it is an interaction of both living and nonliving things in a given geographical area. Ecosystem varies in sizes.
Abiotic component comprises of climatic and edaphic factors such as rain, temperature, light, wind, humidity, soil PH, topography, and minerals including others. While biotic factors comprises of the living things: plants, animals and micro-organisms that are present in an ecosystem. In every ecosystem for instance the tropical rainforest interaction of abiotic and biotic components happens coherently throughout the life of living organisms. The main function of this interaction is to provide a holistic approach sustain the life of the things.
In an ecosystem disturbance is inevitable. Natural or human certaindisturbances instances occur.Natural calamities such as drought hinder the normal interactions found in ecosystems. On the other hand human activities such as industrial productions cause’s excessive emissions of unwanted gases likely to cause disturbance in ecosystems for instance global warming. These disturbances produce negative effect to both living and nonliving organisms in ecosystems.
In summary the carbon cycle comprises of the carbon dioxide gas that is emitted from fossils fuels, animals and micro-organisms bodies, and atmosphere. This gas is absorbed by plants and in return disposes oxygen which is taken by animals and micro-organisms.
Nitrogen cycle entails fixation of the atmospheric nitrogen gas from the atmosphere by lightening fixation and through nitrogen fixing bacteria to plants. Amino acids are created, animals acquire it when they feed on plants and convert it to protein. The cycle completes when animals and the plants since it is taken back to the physical environment. According to theory of natural selection ecosystem recover naturally due to the following reasons: ecosystem has its resilient mechanism of disposing of waste and replenishing nutrients by recycling all elements, ecosystem uses sunlight as the main source of energy and lastly the size of the pollution is always maintained such that overuse of resources does not occur.
