This consists of factors that are within the business unit itself. They could be strength or weakness of the business. Some examples are:
a. Business structure- this refer to formal arrangement of activities that are carried out at various levels of the organization so that the objectives can be achieved like duties and responsibilities are well defined in the business structure.
b. Resources- this refers to something that can be used to achieve an objective. They include human, finance, physical and technological capabilities.
c. Business culture- this is a combination of employees expectations, beliefs, and values within values within the business, which is passed from generation to the next. They include the norm and code of conduct that is acceptable to all from the general manager to the lowest level.
d. Owners –the owners of the business provides finances to start and run the business and make the decisions concerning the operations of the business which can built or destroy the business.
