1. The church had grown and disciples had increased
2. To address the gifts that the holy spirit was outpouring to the disciples so that when one gets the gift can easily identify it.
3. To distinguish the gifts of the Holy spirit from those that do not come from Holy spirit.
4. To inspire others to pray and have their gifts revealed to them.
