1. Guillotine – for trimming documents into required shapes and sizes
2. Paper punch- to make holes in papers to facilitate filing
3. Stapling machines- for pinning papers together
4. Staple remover- to remove pins from the papers

b. Mail room-
1. Folding machines- folding letters and sealing envelopes
2. Franking machine – for printing postage impressions on envelopes.
3. Addressing machine –for printing addresses on mails
4. Sorting machines – for sorting letters
5. Letter opener – for opening letters
6. Composite – to fold documents, place them in envelopes and seal them

c. Typing pool-
1. Typewriter- may be manual, electric, or electronic for typing letters, reports
2. Dictating machines (Dictaphone) – for making shorthand dictations and recording information tapes.
3. Paper shredders – cutting unwanted papers into small pieces to avoid important document from reaching the wrong people.
4. Duplicating machines- for reproducing documents from a master copy (stencil)

3. Facsimile –used to transmit printed messages such as letter, maps, diagrams and photographs

e. Duplicating- photocopier, printing, stencil duplicator, all used for reproducing documents.

f. Accounts
1. Adding machines –adding and subtracting figures.
2. Cash register – for calculation cash receipts.
3. Calculators – for all types of calculations.
4. Accounting machines- for posting information to ledger and preparation of payrolls
5. Computer – for complex calculations.
6. Money counting machines – for counting coins and notes.
