Education opportunities in rural settlements are much lesser as compared to educational opportunities in urban settlements.

(d) Adversities of nature
Some parts of African countries are highly prone to natural calamities such as landslides, floods, too much heat like in deserts or volcanic eruptions which negatively impact education activities.

Most post colonial countries lack proper planning for their citizens on important matters like education, ending up with poor academic strategies.

(f) Prevailing disabilities
A person with disability of any kind in most post colonial countries is likely not to have the privilege of attaining education due to discrimination and seclusion.
