ii) Catechists who were trained in the mission stations were thereafter used to penetrate the African communities and spread Christianity.

iii) Western education that is, literacy and numeracy was taught in mission stations thus enabling the Africans to read and understand the scriptures.

iv) Health centres Africans were treated and preached to converting them to Christianity.
