This stage is divided into 3 main periods: i) The pre-embryonic period (0-3 weeks)
ii) The embryonic period (4-8 weeks) and iii) the foetal period (9th – 40th week).

c) Late childhood (6-12 years)
d) Adolescence (12-18 years)
