(i)The primary goal of engineering is to develop humankind. The demands of the modern society require us to continually interact with our surrounding environment to harvest and extract what we need to sustain life and develop human empire.
(ii)Resource Stewardship and utilization .Engineers have helped in designing processes that help to minimize wastage of resources and utilize the available resources e.g innovation of photovoltaic glaze can help buildings generate their own electricity by turning the whole building envelope into a solar panel.
(iii) Sustainability. Engineers may fall into technical role which immerses them in the real mathematics, physics and science or more managerial role that could lead them to focus on communication, report writing, finance ,negotiations and development of people.
(iv) Safety. This is related with health .Engineers have contributed to invention of machines which help in the health centers and also physically challenged individuals e.g the eye tracking technology has grown into an important frontier in accessibility for the disabled.
