transferred irrecoverably some assets to an entity (a fund) separate from the employer’s enterprise, to meet future obligations for the payment of retirement benefits.

(ii) Experience adjustments: Are alterations to retirement benefit costs arising from the difference between previous actuarial assumptions as to the future events and what actually occurred.
