-Use of electrical magnetic energy. Ultra violet light traps which lowers the pest population e.g. aphids show response to certain wavelength e.g yellow colours.
-Ionizing radiation can be used sterilize the insects
-Use of cold storage of potatoe to reduce development of insect pest through reduction of metabolic rate.
-Dehydrate the insect by application of diatomaceous earth, fine silica gel.
