- Keep watch over farrowing process/ help in the farrowing process
- Remove mucus and any foreign materials around piglet’s nostrils
- Put piglet in a safe warm place
- Tie/ out and disinfect umbilical cord
- Dispose of afterbirth/ stillborns
- Ensure piglets suckle colestrum/ piglets suckle immediately after birth
