Let x kg of beans be mixed with y kg of maize.
50x + 20y = 50x + 20y
Selling price =39(x+y)
Cost price= 50x + 20y
Profit : (SP - CP)/CP = 50/100
= 1/2
(39x + 39y- 50x - 20y)/(50x + 20y) = 1/2
(-11x + 19y)/(50x + 20y) =1/2
cross multiplying
50x + 20y = -22x + 38y
72x = 18y
y/x =18/72= 1/4
ratio B:M = 1:4
