Advantages

i) Dries quickly.

ii) Can be blended with other fabric.

iii) They are thermoplastic.

iv) They are strong.

v) They can be produced cheaply for mass market.

vi) Most are crease resistant/resilient.

ix) Durable /long lasting/strong.

Disadvantages

i) Difficult to handle in garment construction.

ii) They are not absorbent.

iii) They produce electricity therefore cling to the body and attract dirt.

iv) They are cool to wear.

v) They tend to peel easily/are not resistant to abrasion.

vi) High temperatures affect them or sensitive to heat.
