a). Learning to behave in socially accepted and approved ways.- Every social group has its standards of what is approved behavior and what is not for its members

b) Playing approved social roles- Every social group has its own patterns of customary behavior that are carefully defined and expected of its members e.g roles of parents and children and for teachers and pupils.

c). Development of social attributes- To be socialized, children must like social activities, norms and beliefs
