Why prophet Amos prophesied judgement to other nations before turning to Israel.
1 He feared total rebuke fro his homeland. He knew that Israel feared God's judgement and this would led to His exclusion from the city.
2.As a prophet of God, He was waiting upon the repentance of His own people.
3. Being a messenger of God He had to wait upon the ripe time for Him to deliver the word of God.
4. It was responsible for Him to declare judgement over the enemies of Israel.
