Zinaa is considered haram in Islam due to the following reasons:

(i) Allah forbids zinaa in Q 17:32 and muslims are discouraged to in be far off from tempting situations. As muslims what Allah doesn't condone one should shy away. Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) taught muslims not to practice Zinaa. All the other prophets also came with the same message.
(ii) Zinaa can caa=use breakups in marriage and bring untold suffering to the spouses and children.
(iii) Those who practice zinaa have a high chance of engaging in other immoral acts so it is forbidden.
(iv) Zinaa increases likelihood of unwanted pregnancies and abortions.
(v) It can lead to sexually transmitted diseases(STD's) , HIV/AIDS.
(vi) It makes sex cheap and less important.
(vii) Can lead to emotional and psychological torture for people in relationships
