In of the lessons of this course we stated that speaking is one of the basic skills of language. One learns to speak after hearing. Speaking is very vital in our daily lives. Whatever people do when they come together-whatever fight, play, and make machines etc. they talk. People talk to one another in formal and informal speeches and hardly a moment in our walking lives is free from words. It is this oral communication which is by word of mouth that is referred to as speaking. It is through the aid of organs of speech most of which is found in the mouth that speaking is carried out. Because of the many functions that speech serves automatically speaking becomes fundamental to human communication.
