i) Ciliary muscles relax and suspensory ligaments are at high tension; hence the lens becomes long and thin. Must score the first part to score the second part.

ii) Circular muscles contract and the radial muscles relax; hence the size of the pupil reduces. Must score the first part to score the second part.
