Advantages

- Can be used to identify individuals at high risk of malnutrition.
Limitations
- Some measurements taken are not associated with the body size
- It is tedious to carry the equipments around in community assessment
- It is not possible to get a specific deficiency.
- Accuracy of data collected is not guaranteed because subject might be anxious like
children
- For one to make a meaningful reference, one needs a large sample for example of
above 250 subjects
