This is a form of authorization in writing and signed and sealed, giving a person(s) called donee or attorney power to act generally or in a manner specified on behalf of the person who gives the power called donor.
There are two type of power of attorney, i.e., (i) a power given for specific purpose; or
(ii) general power intended to operate for a length of time.
The Power of Attorney Act 1971 makes provisions in relation to powers of attorney as regards:
(a) the execution;
(b) proof of valid instrument;
(c) protection of donee and third persons where the power is revoked but facts remain unknown; (d) delegation by trustees at any time
