Course objectives
(i) To build capacity in the monitoring of educational outcomes in the school system.
(ii) To provide skills and techniques to conduct research in measurement and evaluation.
(iii) To prepare learners to participate in policy making and teaching Measurement and Evaluation in higher education institutions.
Entry requirements
In addition to 4.1 and 4.2, the following shall be eligible for admission to the Masters Degree in Measurement and Evaluation:
(i) Holders of Bachelor of Education with at least Upper Second Class Honors from Egerton University or any other recognized University.
(ii) Holders of Bachelor of Arts with at least Upper Second Class Honors plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Egerton University or any other recognized University.
(iii) Holders of degrees stated in 4.3 (i) and 4.3 (ii) above but with Lower Second Class Honors shall be eligible for admission if:
(a) they have relevant postgraduate training acceptable to the Egerton University Senate,
OR
(b) they have at least two years work experience in their field of specialization.
