Unity and stability: the Golden Stool coupled with centralized political system under the Asantehene provided unity and stability to the kingdom
Efficient standing army: the Asante kingdom had a large and efficient standing army. This was further strengthened by the introduction of guns and gun powder through trade with Europeans
Leadership: the first three rulers of Asante played significant roles in the rise of the empire among which was the creation of the Golden Stool
