A port is a special connection point usually at the back of the system unit where peripheral devices/cables are plugged or attached to.Some of the ports are serial ports,parallel ports,USB ports,COM ports.
They are also used for connecting other devices such as flash disks,printers,digital cameras and external hard disk.
