-The tender box should be opened by a tender opening team/ committee which should comprise of at least two people

- A tender summary of those tendering and their quotation should be done as soon as tenders are opened;

-Any amendment made by the tenderer should be marked and initialed by the tender opening team;

-To avoid alterations tenders should be assessed in accordance with the predetermined criteria;

-Tender selection should be considered and approved by the tender board/ committee
