Are myogenic thus are able to contract and relax rhythmically without fatigue.
Has stripped muscle fibers connected together with interconnected disks.
b)ventricles.
Have thicker walls that generate high pressure during blood pumping of the heart.
The inner walls of ventricles has irregular columns called trabeculae carneae that are muscular to facillitate pumping of blood.
c)Pericardium.
This usually a membrane.
Acts as shock absorber to the heart preventing it from mechanical damage.
It also helps in preserving constituents within the heart such as collagen and elastin.
