Global warming is the increase in atmospheric temperature due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases. It is caused by;

1. Burning of charcoal.
Charcoal is composed of mostly carbon. When it is burned, carbon is released. Carbon mixes with oxygen in the atmosphere to form carbon dioxide gas which is a greenhouse gas that causes global warming.

2. Industrial release of untreated gases.
Some industries releases gases such as Chlorofluorocarbon and carbon dioxide which cause global warming.

3. Agricultural activities such as use of inorganic fertilizers an pesticides releases greenhouse gases that leads to global warming.

4. Burning of fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are hydrocarbons, primarily fuel, coal and natural gas. Burning them leads to large emissions of carbon dioxide which cause global warming.

5. Deforestation.
This is the cutting down of trees. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and uses it for photosynthesis. Cutting them down increases the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
