gaseous exchange in mammals starts from the nose, air is cleaned, purified in the nostrils i.e. moisture and dust particles are removed. purified air I is passed through the trachea to the bronchus, bronchuoles (sub -bronchus) and enters the air sacs in the lungs where gaseous exchange takes place (alveous). oxygen is absorbed into the moist walls of the alveous and carbon iv oxide is removed and brought out through the same process to nose and breath out.
