2.There are more fresh water fishing grounds which are more accessible to fishermen than marine fishing grounds.
3. There is a shortage of capital needed to purchase equipment for deep ocean fishing hence many fishermen prefer rivers.
4.Many inland fisheries have calm waters enabling fishermen to venture deep while the Indian ocean has very stormy waters.
