Keep the angular velocity of the table constant. The centripetal force is provided by hanging masses. The mass of body is measured and maintained constant throughout the experiment. A known mass is added and the table is allowed to rotate until the body attains a constant radius, r. This radius is measured and the experiment is repeated for other masses.
