ii) Cabinet secretary in charge of finance reports to relevant committee on the amount of debt, use servicing and progress of payments i.e. PIC / PAC
iii) Appropriate Bill has to be passed by parliament before money is withdrawn form consolidated fund and spent
iv) Controller of budget supervises implementations of budget of national government, he / she submits reports after every four months
v) Auditor general audits government ministries and departments and submits report to parliament in 6 months’ time
vi) Principal secretaries are accountable to parliament over financial management in their ministries
vii) Kenya Anti-corruption and Ethics Commission investigates and recommends for prosecution of public officers who mismanage funds
