Bertolt Bretch ha explored the need to treat people reasonably and fairly. The case of the Goat Herders and the Fruit Growers was meant to determine which of the two groups was worth to be given the valley. A delegate was appointed to sit down for a discussion in order to reach on an agreement on who will be given the valley thus justice was seen taking place.
Petitioner and beggar bitterly cry for justice. Judge Adzak uses Grusha a a vehicle of true justice. She fearlessly condemns Adzak for being corrupt. Adzak asks her "......you want justice but do you want to pay for it ?" Grusha comments sarcastically,"A fine kind of justice." "I will tell you what i think of your justice,you drunken onion.Later justice takes course and Grusha is given back baby Michael to be her son.

It was one thing to enjoy the thrills of an affair,but a different thing altogether to have a carte blanche to do exactly as you pleased.John had been terribly hurt of course and Mark had been furious with her.
Then Tony had joined priesthood-Mark resisted it at first but recently during Tony's ordination he had been full of pride for his son-whose face had shoe joy and youthful dedication.
