-Can be defined as the practice of planting a second crop immediately following a given harvest of a first crop.

-Requires a long season enough for the growing crops.
-Crops that mature quickly enough are commonly used to allow two harvests in one year.

b)Inter-cropping;
Is defined as the presence of two or more crops in the same field at the same time, planted in a sequenced arrangement that results in the crops competing with one another in the same field.
