According to it, there is an attention filter at the sensory level
Information is selected based on its physical characteristics of other processing.

2. Riesman's attenuation model
It proposes that all information is processed beyond sensory stage but differently. Physical characteristics of information is used to select one information for full processing while others are given partial processing.

3. Quench and Dutch net selection model
According to it, all sensory information are processed but only one message can be responded to.
