1. Organic amnesia- a memory disorder that can be attributed by Physiological illness/injury i.e. tumor
It is divided into two;
a)anterogaed amnesia- memory loss characterized by the inability to create new permanent memory after the onset
of the amnesia.
b)Retrogaed amnesia- this is where there is inability to recall information that has been learnt before the onset of the
amnesias

2. Psychogenic amnesia- this is cause by emotionally disturbing Events i.e. an accidents. It may not last forever because some
People are able to overcome the emotional situations.
