1. Ozone is a strong oxidant, it destroys micro-organisms, and it is used in wastewater treatment.
2. It prevents most of the Ultra- violet radiations (UV) from reaching earth’s surface. High concentration of ozone gas is found between 15- 50 km from the earth’s surface that layer is called stratosphere.
