1. A failed expectation
Customers at times stop cold when they receive a bill highly charged or weren’t expecting. They start to worry at the site of the amount due. Some customers chose not to pay rather than picking up the phone and clarifying the charges brought to them. The customers feel like the sudden charges are a con.
2. Lost invoice
This may be hard to believe but the reality is that, invoices sent through the email can and do sometimes end up in the spam folder or snooze section. Invoices sent through the mail at time they do end up on the wrong desk or address. Personnel changes can cause confusion in the routing of an invoice. Changing of an email also causes the loosing of an invoice since the invoice will be sent to unused email address.
3. Bad memory
At times busy business owners may have a lot of stuff to juggle at once and forgetting to pay an invoice happens once or twice. In these cases knowing the back story helps one realize how it happened and set your mind at ease.
