i)Provides that any trade dispute, whether existing or apprehended may be reported to the minister by or on behalf of any party to the dispute.
ii)The minister shall consider any trade dispute reported to him and shall consult a tripartite committee and after such consultation, may take any such step as seem to him expedient for promoting a settlement.
iii)Methods of reconciliation: The minister may consider any appropriate machinery or arrangement for the settlement of dispute.
iv)The minister may investigate matters related to the trade dispute to ensure that they are relevant to the dispute.
v)The minister may refer the trade dispute to the industrial court.
vi) The copy of the agreement made between the parties concerned is given to the minister.
