The term biosphere is used to refer to the zone of organic matter on the earth where life exists. Man interacts with his physical environment in the shallow layers, which lie at the contact surface between land and atmosphere and between ocean and atmosphere.Through interaction with other life forms, man participates in the processes that affect the biosphere. From his physical environment, he receives the resources necessary for life processes. He not only responds to the forces of the physical environment but also acts upon them and modifies environmental processes and forms.
