(i) Encourage the community to initiate income generating activities at individual/ family/ community level to enable them purchase alternative foods that are rich in proteins.

(ii) Provision of clean and safe water to avoid waterborne disease/ promote high standards of sanitation and personal grooming and hygiene.

(iii) Encourage mothers to breast feed infants for atleast two years in order to boost their immunity.

(iv) Sensitization/ creation of awareness of the value of proper nutrition to prevent malnutrition/ opportunistic disease.

(v) Health officers to educate the members about immunization/ available medical services to reduce mortality.

(vi) Expectant mother to attend antenatal clinics to be advised on feeding/ maternal care.

(vii) Use social media/ communication channels/ Public Baraza to educate the public to conserve environment through clearing bushes/ tall grass/ draining stagnant water that attracts mosquitoes which pose health risk.
