Abu Huraira reported , the messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said, “By him in whose hand is my soul, if one of you were to carry a bundle of firewood on his back and sell it that would be better for him than begging a man who may or may not give him anything.”

Describe the importance of the above hadith to Muslims.

(ii) A person should be truthful and humble at work and in trade.

(iii) Work is the use of physical, mental and spiritual energy.

(iv) Work is development and man as a Khalifa on earth has to develop the earth.

(v) The earth was created for the sake of man’s benefit for man to work, manage and exploit it.

(vi) Allah provided natural resources such as rivers, seas, deserts with O:1 products and minerals for man’s exploitation and work.

(ix) Allah loves those who swat and earn their living through Halal sources.

(x) The Hadith discourages one worshipping and abandoning work.
