Also known as physiological needs because they are accompanied by some imbalance in the body.
Primary motives are unlearned and are more aimed at satisfying the basic survival needs of the animal.

Secondary:
They are learnt or acquired. They are not directly necessary for survival and are not usually accompanied by underlying physiological changes.
