The mango tree is an example of tropical nature's exuberance.

Each mango is a masterwork of nature for its aroma, its delicate flavor, and its dietary and therapeutic properties.

The primary therapeutic applications of mangoes are:

1. Eating mangoes helps maintain healthy skin. It has been proven that vitamin A deficiency produces skin dryness and scaling. The mango is the fresh fruit with the greatest vitamin A content hence they contribute to proper skin hydration and tone.

Eating abundant amounts of mangoes is recommended in cases of skin dryness and as a preventive of premature skin aging.

2. Vitamin A, whose action is potentiated by the simultaneous presence of vitamins C and E, is necessary to good vision. Mango has all these three vitamins. Mango consumption is recommended whenever there is vision loss due to retinal conditions such as night blindness among others.

3. Diabetics can benefit from eating mangoes because this fruit's positive effect on the arteries prevent the circulatory complications associated with diabetes

4. Mangoes are diuretic (increase urine production). They are quite rich in potassium and low in sodium. This makes them highly recommended in cases of high blood pressure since they aid in its control

5. Mangoes are rich in the three most powerful antioxidant vitamins: A, C, and E. As a combined unit, they prevent the oxidation of the cholesterol bearing lipoproteins that circulate in the blood stream. The oxidation of these substances initiates the depositing of cholesterol on the arterial walls, leading to their deterioration.
