Lesson Summary

The heights of two boys are in the ratio 2:3. If the height of the shorter boy is 108 cm, what is the difference in the heights of the two boys?

A.54 cm
B.64 cm
C.162 cm
D.270 cm

Text Answer

Let the height of the taller boy be x.
108 : x = 2 : 3

108x=23
2x = 324
X = 162
Difference in heights = 162 – 108 = 54 cm
Hence the required difference = 54 cm.

The correct answer is A (54 cm).
