Minimum Entry requirement:
i) Applicants must have obtained the minimum University of Nairobi and School of Biological Sciences general admission requirements.
ii) Applicants must have passed with a minimum average of a C+ in KCSE with a minimum of a C+ in Biology or Biological Sciences and a minimum of a C (plain) in other science subjects (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Physical Sciences) in KCSE or equivalent. Students with a C+ in Geography will have an added advantage.
iii) Two principal passes at KACE, one of which must be in Biology and the other in any other science subject from the following: Chemistry, Geography, Physics and Mathematics.
iv) Holders of a degree, diploma or equivalent in a biological science or related subjects from a University recognized by the Senate.

Universities Offering BAchelor of Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management()

Admission requirements.
(i) A mean grade of C+ at KCSE with C in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Agriculture, Business Studies, Religious Studies, English or Kiswahili and Geography OR

(ii) Two years ordinary diploma with a distinction or credit in environmental studies or related field from a recognized institution.

Those the qualification (ii) above will be admitted to the second year of study.

Applicants with a pass diploma will join first year of study.
