Minimum Course Entry Requirements:
- Minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination
(KCSE). In addition, applicants are expected to have obtained: a B in music at KCSE and at least a C+ in
the other cluster subjects of the KCSE examinations:

- A minimum of two (2) principals for A-level applicants. In addition, they should demonstrate evidence
of prior music experience.

- Diploma in Education (Music) from a recognized institution.   
- Applicants with a Diploma in Music of the Kenya Polytechnic University College or from any other recognized institution.

Other qualifications:
Applicants with the minimum academic qualifications above that do not include music shall )be
accepted based on Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 theory and grade 8
practical, or London College of Music (LCM) grade 8 performance or any other equivalent international
qualification.

Minimum Course Admission Requirements:
Mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ (Plus) or equivalent in Music OR Mean grade of C (plain) or equivalent with ABRSM grade 6 theory and grade 5 practical OR Diploma in Music or Diploma in Education with Music OR P1 certificate with at least ABRSM Theory of Music grade 5.
